The Fina Bella Corporate Domestic Violence Program
Here's an excerpt from our new Fina Bella Journal that has been available
to all members of The Fina Bella Coalition Against Domestic Violence free

Update:
As promised from last months journal, we have 2 new volunteers. Please
welcome Claude (female) our English to French translator for this Journal
and Howard who will be doing research on the connection between animal
abuse and domestic violence. We are now looking for a few more
volunteers to take up the cause of child abuse, men who are abused by
women, Gay & Lesbian abuse and Elder abuse. When up and running,
these will be separate divisions to The Fina Bella Group of sites and the
responsibility of the volunteers chosen.
We also have an official motto for Fina Bella. “ We Can Do It ….....
Together” the French version is “Nous Pouvons Le Faire …....Ensemble ”
As soon as we can scan it, we will be able to show you the new Fina Bella
logo. Thanks to our Sexy Monster Girl who designed it, we believe it
captures the essence of the 3 sites and the issue of domestic violence. Here
is the teaser explanation of the logo. “Three women, mind and body facing
forward. Hips are trunks and legs are roots, digging deep into the earth,
Intertwining together as the voice of solidarity. They stand alone, yet they
are connected in inevitably by our mother. Their arms are branches
extending outwards, their finger's acting as leaves as they reach outwards
and upwards for the light....... from the darkness.”
Commentary:
We are looking into the possibilities of having a large fund raising gala
(media present) in a downtown club late spring or early summer 2010. It is
our intent over time to make FINA BELLA THE (spelled with a capital
THE) most proactive organization that makes change happen through
awareness, education, programs and healing. We'll update you as it
develops.
As this journal is being read by you, we are putting together a seminar for
one of the larger Woman Studies Departments at a university in Canada.
It's not a “done deal” yet because it will need to be approved by their
committee. Fina Bella may also have an opportunity to do the same for a
major Police Force in Canada.
